A deceptively spacious, two double bedroomed, period property terraced house, ideally located within easy walking distance of central St Albans and the mainline station.
This stylish property combines period charm with modern style. Benefiting from a large living/dining room, with plenty of space for a large dining table, a gorgeous duck egg kitchen with solid wood worktops, and plenty of sunlight from the dual aspect open-plan nature of the ground floor.
Accessed via a new stable door from the kitchen, the property has a wonderful garden with a patio area and freshly renewed turf. There is a large shed at the end of the garden that has recently been refurbished. On the first floor, there are two well-sized double bedrooms and a spacious and stylish recently refitted bathroom suite (with bath and separate shower).

Sopwell Lane is in the heart of historic St Albans a stone’s throw from some of the city’s most historic and friendly pubs and St Albans Cathedral, Park and Lake. Only a short walk to the city centre where there is an excellent selection of bars, restaurants, and other amenities (such as the twice-weekly farmers market).

This property has character, location, and lots of style going for it! Perfect for those looking to move out to a property with a garden, but still within easy walking distance of the city centre and mainline train station. No Upper Chain

Sopwell Lane Area

Sopwell Lane is a vibrant, yet family-friendly, location with fantastic pubs and local community events. The area is very dog friendly with loads of great walking spots on your doorstep and excellent access to local parks/green spaces (Verulamium Park, Sopwell Nunnery, St Albans Green Ring, etc.). Both train stations (Abbey Station and Mainline Station) are only a short walk from the property. There are many excellent leisure facilities nearby including restaurants, pubs, gyms, a cinema, shops, and the twice-weekly farmers market.

Current Owners Comments

We love the property and are only selling for the opportunity to move to our parents home when they move out of the area. We love all the great places to walk our dog so close to home, as well as all the entertainment (The Odyssey Cinema, Verulam Park, local historical pubs, a mixture of independent and big brand shops and fantastic restaurants. Per tutti authentic Italian, Tabure Turkish kitchen, Prime steakhouse, The Pudding Stop and the Mad Squirrel Microbrewery all firm favourites!)
In our opinion, the White Lion is the best pub in St Albans, especially in summer for their pub garden. The Hare and Hounds, with its open fireplace, is the cosiest one to go to in winter!
